Why Is Spanish Easy To Learn? | Global Speak Academy

A lot of people think that Spanish can be a hard language to learn. However, that purely depends on what methods are used to learn this language, since many people spend their high school years trying to learn Spanish but end up never being able to have a proper conversation. In this academy we have students that have tried traditional language learning and have then switched to our methods and have started asking themselves, “why is Spanish so easy to learn now?”. This is because we make use of the most effective and motivating methods of learning Spanish that keeps our students engaged and hungry for more Spanish!

Is There Similarities In Spanish And English?

Traditional language teaching usually punishes certain tools for language learning, such as translators, games and other tools, like the colloquially referred tool of “Spanglish”. They also put too much focus on trying to learn very specific grammatical and verbal rules. This is disadvantageous because in this academy we believe that any tool for learning to speak Spanish, will help you learn Spanish. Even making use of “Spanglish” can get you a long way when speaking to Spanish people, since there are a lot of transparent words in English and Spanish, that if changed slightly can actually give you the correct choice of words. This is actually because even though Spanish is a latin language and English is a Anglo-Saxon language, the two languages actually have many words in common, and share many roots. According to the Dictionary, over 60% of all English words come from Greek or Latin, and this number rises to 90% in the fields of technology and science. These facts may explain why English speakers may find Spanish easy to learn rather than other languages, since they share most of the same roots. In Global Speak Academy we don’t only make Spanish fun, but we make Spanish easy to learn and more accessible to new beginners, by letting the students make use of all the tools that foster conversational skills in Spanish.

Why Is Spanish Easier To Learn With Global Speak Academy?

In Global Speak Academy we make use of the “communicative language teaching (CLT)” method, which is recognized by Cambridge University as “language learning for real life”, this method makes learning Spanish much easier than you would actually think. There are students that changed from academic language learning, to try our new methods and they don’t fully understand why Spanish is suddenly so easy to learn. This is because this method focuses mainly on fostering conversational skills in Spanish, taking the weight away from traditional language learning which puts too much emphasis on learning grammatical nuances, vocabulary and repetition. We make use of interesting conversation topics that the students are interested in, such as their hobbies. We also utilize games, music, cinema, and other tools that make learning Spanish much more fun and easier than in traditional language teaching, which is restrained to follow a vast amount of theory.

Where Can I Learn Easy Spanish?

The main problem with language learning in traditional schools is that the students end up learning a lot about the language, rather than learning how to put the language into practice and how to use it in real life. Here, we teach how to use the language, rather than learning about the language. In Global Speak Academy, we wondered how we can teach Spanish and make students ask themselves, why Spanish has become so easy to learn all of a sudden. This is because our mission is to help the biggest amount of people learn Spanish, by getting them to speak Spanish and use it in real life with native teachers. We offer online lessons with small groups of a maximum of 5 students per class. We offer students a safe space to speak and practice their Spanish, without worrying about being incorrect, or not being able to formulate the most grammatically accurate sentences. We do this because Spanish is actually way easier to learn, if you know how to pick your fights and put effort into the right competencies.
